Hey, Tom! Since you obviously live in my neck of West L.A., you should try Ramen Yamadaya (on Washington Blvd. in Culver City). They have a tasty black garlic ramen that you should try while ramen’s still a thing. Also, the Mitsua in Torrance has a once-or-twice yearly ramen fest where they serve other kinds of ramen from various parts of Japan.
And, ramen’s even more of a thing in this mall in Fukuoka, Japan. It’s supposed to be world famous. I ordered some ramen through a machine which then told the ramen chefs what I wanted. I don’t remember the taste, but I remember how they fried noodles that kept moving for a few minutes while I ate it.

I’ve had Yamadaya! Eva Snyder recommended it to me. Great stuff. Thanks! Also, are you *sure* they were noodles?
