    Molly,

My husband has been using sourdough for 30 years. Here are a couple of our go to recipes. The pancakes are easy & delicious. The waffles are to die for!

    Enjoy!

    Sourdough pancakes

    1 egg

    1Tbsp sugar

    1/2 tsp baking soda

    1 1/2 c sourdough

Whisk egg. Add sugar and baking soda. Whisk. Add sourdough. Cook until bubbly. Flip.

    Miss Mary Rogers Sourdough Waffles:

½ cup sourdough starter ¾ tsp baking soda, dissolved

1 cup milk in a little warm water (very little)

    1 ¼ cups flour ½ tsp. salt

1 egg, separated ¼ tsp. cream of tartar

    4 tbsps. butter/oleo melted 1 tbsp sugar

At bedtime make a batter of the sourdough starter, milk and flour; cover and let set overnight if wanted for breakfast. It can be mixed early of a morning and set in a warm place if wanted for noon or evening.

30 minutes before you want to eat, separate the egg yoke and white. Mix the egg yoke, butter, dissolved baking soda, salt and sugar and add this mixture to the sourdough you mixed up the night before.

Whip your egg whites with the cream of tartar and fold into the sourdough mixture.

    Let set 20-30 minutes.

    Cook and enjoy!
