Regarding silhouette animation – I was listening to this weeks episode and was reminded of a new example of this that I had already spotted earlier in the week. Sony had a big showcase event for the PS5 and debuted a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil game, and it looks like it’s using a variant of silhouette animation for cutscenes – there’s a little more color and depth to it then traditional silhouette animation, but it’s still a very cool and very recent example.
