  1. Every decade, the decade 20 years prior becomes a thing:
-The 50’s became a thing in the 70’s. IE Happy Days
-The 60’s became a thing in the 80’s. IE The Monkees-MTV revival. 60’s sitcoms on Nick@Nite
-The 70’s became a thing in the 90’s. IE That 70’s show. The Brady Bunch movie.
-The 80’s became a thing in the 2k’s. IE I love the 80’s on VH1.

Right on schedule we seem to be in a transition period where the late 80’s-early 90’s are a thing: Justin Beiber wearing MC Hammer pants, NBA players wearing flat tops, MDMA(AKA “Molly”) becoming the club drug of choice, etc.

Don’t be surprised if 2014 sees a Grunge revival.

  2. This is a total buzz kill, but the quality of Molly’s audio for the last few shows has been a dealbreaker for me. It kills me because the content is so cool-interesting-fun. Hey — I contributed ten bucks: I get to complain… .

  3. I love the podcast. I always enjoy Tom and Molly together. I have tried to do my part by donating to Molly’s mic fund because the audio quality is the only downside to the podcast. If you don’t get enough in donations maybe your former or soon to be former CNET colleagues will gift you with a nice mic as a going away gift. 🙂

    • Thanks Vicki! We appreciate the donation. Molly did get a Yeti mic for these last three episodes but for some reason it was just really not working as well as we wanted. Rest assured by season three, the mic issues will be resolved.

  4. Honestly, the audio quality isn’t that big of a deal to me. Sure, it’d be nice if Molly’s voice was crystal-clear. But the content is what matters to me. If I hear a Molly Rant in ANY form or quality, I’m going to listen. Just my opinion. 🙂

Tom, if you like grapes, try freezing them then eating them frozen, it may not seem like a good idea, but it is. They are like little grapeskin covered popsicles. Just becareful not to get brain freeze.

Kim, are you thinking of Ready Player One? If so, I concurr in it’s awesomeness so many 80s references. Also, if you like audiobooks, Wil Wheaton reads the audiobook.
